Opening the 2026 concert series with a concert for a cause

We are very excited to present our first show of the 2026 season, the 5th concert of the entire series, since founding the Philippines-Tokyo Concert Series in 2024.

For this special evening, we proudly present Mr. Isaac Ishmael Iglesias, tenor, a Philippine-based opera singer, together with Carell Ethilca Henry, a Japan-based Filipino pianist.

Join us on Wednesday, April 22, from 19:00–20:30, for a delightful, romantic, and heartwarming concert featuring Philippine Kundiman, the classical art songs of the Philippines. The program will also include beloved Filipino classics, OPM favorites, and selections from Broadway.

He was also part of the Manila Camerata Artists, who represented the Philippines at the ASEAN Music Festival in Haiphong, Vietnam, in 2019, where they bagged the most gold medals and were later recognized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts with the Ani ng Dangal Award for Music in 2021.

One of his more notable concerts took place in 2021, titled "Forte: A Pop Orchestra Concert," where he performed with P-Pop Kings SB19 and vocal powerhouses 4th Impact. He also performed during the Filipino cultural concert organized by the Philippine Mission to ASEAN in Jakarta, Indonesia, in December 2023.

In 2025, he was invited to perform in Los Angeles, California, for an event by the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Los Angeles in celebration of Filipino American History Month, entitled "Philippine Music Gems: From Kundiman to OPM."

Currently, he serves as a part-time faculty member at the College of Music of his alma mater, St. Scholastica's College, and at Centro Escolar Las Piñas, both as a choir conductor and voice teacher. He also teaches voice at Primo Music Lab.
