The third and final concert of the 2025 season, "Kahiusa: A Philippines–Japan Cultural Concert," concluded with resounding success and heartfelt applause.

An Afternoon of Harmony and Cultural Brilliance

Ideareve Ikegami Hall — The autumn sunlight streamed through soft clouds, casting a golden glow over the hall's minimalistic façade. The air carried a crisp coolness, signaling the change of season, while guests arrived in high spirits for the much-awaited final concert of the 2025 season. "Kahiusa: A Philippines–Japan Cultural Concert" marked another significant milestone for the Philippine–Tokyo Concert Series, drawing an even wider circle of music lovers and international friends.

The trio of Cymbelene Gatdula (soprano), Saeka Kawamoto (violin), and Carell Ethilca Belandres (piano) enchanted the audience with a program that blended classical elegance and heartfelt expression. Each piece resonated with unity: strings, keys, and voice intertwining in perfect dialogue between the Philippines and Japan. Their collaboration stood as a musical symbol of friendship, artistry, and shared passion beyond borders.

Following the concert, Ulam Tokyo by Chef Eric Romero delighted everyone with a special Filipino lunch reception. The menu featured ginataang kalabasa (pumpkin curry in coconut), chicken inasal (Filipino-style barbecue), sinangag (garlic rice), and atsara (pickles), an offering of warmth and hospitality that perfectly complemented the afternoon's harmony. It was an unforgettable celebration of music, culture, and connection—a resounding bravo to the spirit of Kahiusa.
